John Grisham's new book for kids

Best selling author, John Grisham has written a new book for kids called "Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer". It is a story in which thirteen-year-old Theodore finds himself involved in a murder trial because of what he knows about a cold-blooded killer.

Catch the Wave! Summer Reading Club


Registration for the Summer Reading Club at Emma S. Clark started on Saturday, June 5th. However, there is still time to register and get in on the fun.

This year's theme is "Catch the Wave!" The Young Adult department will be sponsoring a variety of activities for students entering grades 7 through 12.

  • Battle of the Books: Wednesday July 7th through July 28th (3:30-4:45 or 4:45-6:00 p.m.) Final Library Battle- Friday, July 30th (6:00- 8:00 p.m.)

  • Teen Readers: Monday, June 28 through August 16- Read and enter weekly raffles.

  • Twilight Trivia: Monday, June 28 (6:00- 7:00 p.m.)

  • Share a book, Share a Sundae: Tuesday, June 29 (4:00- 5:00 p.m.)

  • Chocolate Covered Sculpture: Tuesday, June 29 (6:00-7:00 p.m.)

  • Ocean Jewelry: Thursday, July 8 (4:00-5:00 p.m.)

  • Super Smash Bros. Tournament: Tuesday, July 13 (6:00-8:00 p.m.)

  • Manga Drawing: Tuesday, July 20 (7:15-8:45 p.m.)

  • Teen Poetry Cafe: Monday, July 26 (7:00-8:30 p.m.)

  • Wii Play @ the Library: Tuesday, August 3 (4:00-5:30 p.m.)

  • Photo Collage: Wednesday, August 4 (4:30- 6:00 p.m.)
