  7. For my IRP, I read Dan Brown's new sequel to The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol. It was one of the best book's I've ever read. It was a mystery/thriller about one man who must save his best friend by uncovering an ancient treasure of dynamic proportions. But once he realizes what the treasure is, he must choose between the life of his best friend, or the world as he knows it. This book was very intense because the main characters, Robert Langdon and Katherine Solomon, were being tailed by the CIA and this evil psychopath. It got so intense at points that I didn't know which part was the climax. That was until I actually reached the climax. That point was so intense I thought I might pass out. In conclusion, this book is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone 12 & up who wants a good thrill.

Twenty-three years later, Jane is still under her mother's rule and is in a miserable relationship with a man who cares more about her Broadway connections than about her. Only this year Katniss, who takes care of her sister and mother ever since the mining accident that killed her father, is picked to go to the games. 16. For my IRP, I read the book "Outcast" by Michelle Paver. This book is in the native american era and placed somewhere in Europe. In a world of magic and tragedy, Torak is cast out of his clan for crimes he did not commit. This story was about Torak's incredible journey to prove that he is not guilty of these crimes and thwart the villain named Seshru. I thought this was a decent book with a strong plot and interesting characters. Yet, the reading level was under the eigth grade curriculum. I would reccomend this as a n easy and fun read.

  20. Hey everybody,

For my IRP this time I read Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. This book is one of action and suspense. This book is second to the book The Hunger Games, which is the first book in the series. I do not want to give first one away by telling you about the second one, so I will tell you about the first one. In The Hunger Games, Katniss, the main character, gets picked to have to go into the ring with 23 other tributes, and fight to the death on live TV that everyone is forced to watch! Read this amazing book to find out what happens to Katniss.

P.S. Even though the main character is a girl it is a great read for both guys and girls.

  23. Hey people

I read Z. Rex for my IRP, and I thought it was very good. It was a sci-fi/fantasy about a boy who must save his father from an evil corporation while being chased by a dinosaur created by this corporation. I enjoyed this book because the descriptions were so beautifully projected that I couldn’t bare it. The battle scenes were almost too lethal and too gory that I couldn’t believe it. In the climax battle scene, everything was described so beautifully, from the blows from one creature to another, to the expressions on the people’s faces. In conclusion, this book is for any one 14 & up who can take multiple lethal battle scenes and a plot that twists and turns like a snake.

  24. Hey people

For our latest IRP, we all read Anne Frank. I thought it was a very interesting book. I thoroughly enjoyed when Anne discussed the outside world as a part of her diary. In this book, Anne Frank and her family flee to Amsterdam, where her father works, to live in a Secret Annexe with another family, the Van Daans, and a Mr. Dussel. In her diary, Anne talks about the outside world, her own personal opinions about things, her daily life, and her relationships. It is one of the most memorable books I've read that comes out of that war.
