Borders Twilight Party

Borders Bookstore held a"Twilight" dvd release parties at midnight on Friday, March 19th. The festivities at the Riverhead store included design your own Twilight poster, Emmet's Arm Wrestle, Bella's Balance among other things. The Barnes & Noble store at Smith Haven Mall invited customers to come dressed in a "Twilight" costume.

Twilight DVD facts: The new dvd inclues the movie, plus five deleted scenes, a documentary about bringing the tale from book to screen, and more. (Newsday 3/18 blurb). Borders has an exclusive edition that includes interviews with cast members and 10 photo cards for you extra die hard fans!

Newbery Winner Announced


The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman is this year's Newbery award winner. Gaiman the author of Coraline (Soon to be in theaters) has written a story about an orphan named Bod, short for Nobody, who is taken in by the inhabitants of a graveyard as a child of eighteen months. He is raised lovingly and carefully to the age of eighteen years by the community of ghosts and otherworldly creatures.
